The Orlando Pirates Football Club, commonly referred to as the “Pirates,” is a South African professional football team that competes in the Premier Soccer League and is based in the Johannesburg suburb of Houghton. One of South Africa’s oldest football clubs, Orlando Pirates, was founded in Orlando East, Soweto, in 1937.
