It is official the time Simba SC will meet Primeiro De Agosto of Angola in the first round of the African Champions League (CAF Champions League 2022/2023).
De Agosto advanced to the stage following a 2-1 aggregate victory after scoring a 1-1 draw against Zambia’s Red Arrows in today’s game.
Earlier yesterday, Simba Club secured a ticket to the first round after a 2-0 victory against Nyasa Big Bullets of Malawi.
At that stage, Simba will start away in Angola between October 7-9, 2022, and the second leg is scheduled to be played in Dar es Salaam between October 14-16, 2022. The overall winner in the first round will advance to the group stages of the CAF Champions League at the club level.

Clube Desportivo 1º de Agosto is a multi-sport organization based in Luanda, Angola. The club was established on August 1, 1977, and its primary sponsor is the Angolan armed forces. Men’s football is its primary sport, and the club also has a notable professional basketball team. The club uses red and black as its colors.
In both basketball and football, the club’s first championships came in 1979 and 1980, respectively. Many championships have also been won by the club in handball and volleyball.
The football team of the Primeiro de Agosto Sports Club participates in both local and continental competitions held annually by the African Football Confederation (CAF), including the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup, as well as in the Angolan National Football Championship, also known as Girabola, the Angola Cup, and the Angola Super Cup. De Agosto: Stadium
The construction of Primeiro de Agosto’s own football stadium is currently underway. The 20,000-seat stadium is a component of the De Agosto sports complex, which also includes a secondary school, a university, a tennis court, office buildings, an Olympic swimming pool, and a 2,500-seat indoor sports arena. Construction on the 20,000-seat stadium started in 2012 and is expected to be finished in 2019.
The stadium and the complex are situated in Luanda’s Cassequel district. The club announced that they will begin playing their home games at the França Ndalu in the 2020–21 season.

About Simba SC
The Simba Sports Club is a football club that has its home base in Kariakoo, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
The club was given the name Queens in honor of Her Majesty, the Queen of England, when it was founded in 1936 following its split from another Tanzanian team known as the Dar Young Africans Giants.
