Set up a study area and stick to it

If you have an assigned space for studying and only use that space for studying, it is much easier to stay focused and resist the temptation to socialize, play video games, or watch TV. If you have to work with a group, have a separate area for this so that you don’t get distracted when you are trying to finish up on your own.


Don’t be afraid to ask for help

Don’t drink too much, especially at the start of the year

As exciting as the start of a new school year is, it can be tempting to drink to excess at the beginning of the year. Don’t do this.

You don’t want to get a bad reputation or be kicked out of your housing because of excessive partying. Instead, go out with your friends, but keep your drinking under control.
