The University of Dar es Salaam(UDSM) is one of Tanzania’s oldest institutions of higher learning. Established in 1936, the university has a rich history and a reputation as one of Tanzania’s best universities.
Today, UDSM is continuing to expand its presence around the world through distance education and global collaboration by focusing on graduate and undergraduate degrees. Through four schools and colleges, the university offers graduate and undergraduate degrees.
The School of Education offers both general education and applied subjects related to teaching and learning at all levels. The School of Management specializes in business education for professionals looking to work with students or an organization that educates students. The school consists of four colleges and schools.
The School of Social Sciences offers courses in public administration, international relations, cultural anthropology, human geography, and African studies, among other topics. There are around 100 departments in these four schools, each of which offers a different programme.

Students who want to study for one of the university’s undergraduate degree programmes in 2022/2023 are invited to apply.
The University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) offers various academic programs leading to certificates, diplomas and degrees. A total of 88 degree programs are offered in various academic units of the University. The UDSM Admission Procedure Guide can be downloaded from www.udsm.ac.tz

All information and guidelines needed to guide the candidate through the application stages are provided in the Instructions tab. Candidates are reminded to register their names as they appear on O&A level certificates; likewise their index numbers when asked.
Before applying Direct, all applicants with foreign certificates must first verify their credentials with the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA).
They will in turn receive letters indicating the NECTA equivalent grades, copies of which must also be uploaded together with other certificates. Further information on NECTA verification can be obtained at www.necta.go.tz.
Equivalent candidates are advised to obtain a special unique number from the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE), which will be required when applying in the system. For more information on the NACTE verification process, please visit www.nacte.go.tz.

With a College Tracker profile, you can create a list of your desired schools and even sign up for email updates when any of your desired universities make changes to their application requirements or deadlines.
Step 3: Make an Online Admission Account
Once you’ve reviewed the admission requirements and created a College Tracker account, you’re ready to make an online admission account. There are two ways to do this: visit the university’s admissions website or sign up through College Tracker. Visit the university’s admissions website – To do this, you need to find the admissions page for your desired university.
Once you’ve found it, simply click “apply now” and you’ll be directed to the admissions portal. Once on the portal, you’ll be asked to enter your name, address, birthday, and other personal information.
