About Sensa 2022 campaign
The Population and Housing Census, planned for August 2022, will be the first such survey since 2012, when the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Statistician of Zanzibar (OCGS) will carry it out. It is the first national questionnaire since 1964, when the Union of Tanganyika and Zanzibar took place. Census 2022 will be the sixth census in Tanzania, which will count all Zanzibaris. A census was conducted in 1964, 1967, 1978, 1988, 2002, and 2012.

- The work of the separation of Census Areas at the neighborhood and street level which is the basis for achieving a quality census.
- Preparation of census documents.
- The creation of task forces/units with the aim of sharing responsibilities. and
- Conducting a trial Census on August 29, 2021
